VMware vSphere: Optimize and Scale [V7]

Course Overview

Advanced skills for establishing and managing a highly available and scalable virtual infrastructure are taught during this five-day course. You configure and optimise the VMware vSphere® 7 features that lay the groundwork for a truly scalable infrastructure through a combination of lectures and hands-on experiments. You go through when and places where these characteristics have the biggest an impact.

Prerequisites

One of the following criteria must be satisfied:

  • Knowledge of the ideas covered in the VMware vSphere: Install, Configure, Manage [V7] course.
  • Similar administration and expertise of ESXi and vCenter Server.
  • Experience with working at the command line is highly recommended.

Audience Profile

  • Knowledgeable system engineers, administrators, and integrators

Course Objectives

You should be able to complete the following goals by the end of the course:

  • Set up and manage the networking and storage for a large, complex company using vSphere.
  • To manage certificates, use the VMware vSphere® ClientTM.
  • To set up VMware vCenter Server® to access external identity sources, use Identity Federation.
  • To protect the infrastructure for encrypted VMs, use VMware vSphere® Trust AuthorityTM.
  • To manage VMware ESXiTM host compliance, use host profiles.
  • Establish and maintain a content library for virtual machine deployment.
  • Use resource pools to control VM resource utilisation.
  • Track and evaluate ESXi hosts' processing, storage, and networking key performance indicators.
  • vCenter Server and the vSphere environment's performance should both be optimised. You should be able to complete the following goals by the end of the course:
