Course Overview

The Veritas NetBackup Appliances 5.0- Configuration and Management course is intended for the IT professional who is new to appliances & is responsible for configuring the NetBackup 5250, 5340, & 5350 devices, performing appliance maintenance tasks, & handling appliances. This course includes how to configure the appliances & add storage to the appliances. One will learn how the devices easily combine into the NetBackup environment, how to operate backups and restore, maintain and monitor the appliances, and resolve appliance issues. In addition, you will also understand reconfiguring the appliances, deploying virtual appliances, using standard appliance features, and clustering NetBackup 53xx appliances.

Prerequisites

One must have a working understanding of Veritas NetBackup. Having some knowledge about Veritas NetBackup appliances, networking, and storage concepts is beneficial.

Audience Profile

This course is made for customers and partners who are new to NetBackup appliances and are responsible for configuring NetBackup 5250, 5340, and 5350 appliances, performing appliance maintenance tasks, and operating and managing, and troubleshooting the appliances.
