FAQs

The Value Stream Management Foundation course from Value Stream Management Consortium, offered in partnership with DevOps Institute, is an introductory course taking learners through a value stream management implementation journey.

A management method or practise called "value stream management" aims to improve the flow of business value from customer request to customer delivery.

A value-stream manager is tasked with maximising the value-to-non-value ratio, reducing waste throughout the whole supply chain for a certain product family, and guaranteeing that the value stream satisfies or exceeds customer expectations.

Providing a view of the entire SDLC, value stream management enables software teams to identify and examine critical elements through the lens of the customer. This perspective also helps teams quickly catch issues or delays, eliminate wasteful activity, and create room for innovation.
