Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) PractitionerSM Course

Course Description

Using case studies and real-world scenarios, the course seeks to give learners the techniques, methods, and skills they need to integrate reliability in all areas of the business. Participants will have practical takeaways to use in the workplace after completing the course, including how to implement SRE models that fit their organization's context, build advanced observability in distributed systems, create resiliency by design, and effectively respond to incidents using SRE practises.. The course is developed by leveraging key SRE sources, engaging with thought-leaders in the SRE space, and working with organizations embracing SRE to extract real-life best practices and has been designed to teach the fundamental principles & practices necessary for starting SRE adoption. This course positions learners to complete the SRE Practitioner certification exam.

FAQs

The SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) Practitioner course introduces ways to economically and reliably scale administrative services.

DevOps focuses on the development side of product management and building tools for developers and monitoring systems. SRE focuses on the operations side of product management. SREs focus on supporting developers' code deployments and server deployments.

A site reliability engineer is an IT expert who uses automation tools to monitor and observe software reliability in the production environment. They are also experienced in finding problems in software and writing codes to fix them.

Using case studies and real-world scenarios, the course seeks to give learners the techniques, methods, and skills they need to integrate reliability in all areas of the business. Participants will leave the course with practical takeaways they can use right away at work, like how to apply SRE models that fit their organization's context, develop advanced observability in distributed systems, incorporate resiliency into the design process, and use SRE techniques to effectively handle incidents.
