MTA Overview The Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) IT Infrastructure is designed to be an entry level certification for people getting started in the IT career field. The Windows Operating System Fundamentals exam covers general topics related to the day-to-day operation of a Windows 7 workstation and some of the administrative tasks required to keep the machine running smoothly. Upon completing the 98-349 exam, you will be awarded the MTA IT Infrastructure certification which demonstrates to employers that you have the basic skills required to provide IT support in a help desk or field technician role.
