FAQs

A: People who are associated with IT & computers get the concept easily. Business officials can understand MDM as it is very useful in official work.

A: There are two different locks that use Informatica MDM 10.1 & i.e.

  • Exclusive Lock: This Lock is able to allow access to a single user to make various changes to the underlying ORS & also blocks other users from modifying meta-data in the ORS till the exclusive lock exits.
  • Write Lock: This lock is able to allow multiple users at a time to amend the underlying metadata.

A: Schema is basically a data model which is being used in the implementation of the Siperian hub. Generally, the Siperian hub does not require any specific schema. Siperian hub contains schema & it is independent.

A: The hierarchy manager helps users to manage hierarchy data which is associated with the records that users manage in MRM. Applications provide different data to MRM and also store relationship data across master data.

This system easily creates high complexity in managing data relationships because each application is different from others & has a unique hierarchy. Similarly, every data mart & data warehouse is developed to reflect relationships that are required for specific purposes.
