Course Description

The installation, use, customization, integration of Tivoli Network Manager 4.2 with Network Operations Insight, & network monitoring using Network Manager pollers are all covered in this course. About 40% of the workshop's exercises are lectures & 60% are hands-on activities. A fundamental overview of product components & their related functions opens the workshop. You execute a complete network discovery of simulated networks & setup Tivoli Network Manager. You can alter the behaviour of finders & agents to further understand the subtleties of the discovery cycle. You also learn how to use the reporting features of IBM Tivoli Network Manager, manage polling behaviour, join isolated networks through manual map editing, & construct real-time MIB graphs. Additionally, you pick up how to use the Network Health Dashboard & make your own dashboards.

Prerequisites

The following abilities should be present before enrolling in this course: -Editing simple Linux shell scripts with gedit or vi Understanding of the Open Systems Interconnect (OSI) model's layers 2 & 3 & their functions Knowledge of the OSI model's Layer 1 operating system's device types
