Course Description
Administrators who take this course will be trained in IBM Integration Bus system administration. Additionally, it applies to IBM Integration Bus developers who simultaneously hold administrative positions. This course teaches you how to manage IBM Integration Bus using its administrative interfaces on distributed operating systems like Windows and UNIX. The IBM Integration online user interface and the IBM Integration Bus commands are examples of these interfaces. An overview of the IBM Integration Bus is given at the start of the course. Initial product installation & maintenance, environment configuration, & fundamental administrative duties like backing up and recovering the environment are the next subjects covered. You learn about the specifications for a product, manage access to IBM Integration Bus resources and message flows, locate and resolve problems, and track and change performance. You also learn about techniques for enhancing IBM Integration Bus's functionality. The course covers the publish/subscribe model, the Java Message Service (JMS) transport protocol, & web services. In the course lab exercises, you gain hands-on experience with IBM Integration Bus administrative responsibilities, such as managing runtime components, observing message flow applications, and defining security.
Prerequisites
You should be familiar with the Windows operating system and fundamental security procedures & protocols, such as Secure Socket Layer (SSL) & Lightweight Directory Access Protocol, before enrolling in this course (LDAP). It is advantageous but unnecessary to have prior knowledge of IBM MQ system administration and IBM Integration Bus message flow development.
