IBM Integration Bus V10 System Administration

Course Description

Administrators who take this course will be trained in IBM Integration Bus system administration. Additionally, it applies to IBM Integration Bus developers who simultaneously hold administrative positions. This course teaches you how to manage IBM Integration Bus using its administrative interfaces on distributed operating systems like Windows and UNIX. The IBM Integration online user interface and the IBM Integration Bus commands are examples of these interfaces. An overview of the IBM Integration Bus is given at the start of the course. Initial product installation & maintenance, environment configuration, & fundamental administrative duties like backing up and recovering the environment are the next subjects covered. You learn about the specifications for a product, manage access to IBM Integration Bus resources and message flows, locate and resolve problems, and track and change performance. You also learn about techniques for enhancing IBM Integration Bus's functionality. The course covers the publish/subscribe model, the Java Message Service (JMS) transport protocol, & web services. In the course lab exercises, you gain hands-on experience with IBM Integration Bus administrative responsibilities, such as managing runtime components, observing message flow applications, and defining security.

Prerequisites

You should be familiar with the Windows operating system and fundamental security procedures & protocols, such as Secure Socket Layer (SSL) & Lightweight Directory Access Protocol, before enrolling in this course (LDAP). It is advantageous but unnecessary to have prior knowledge of IBM MQ system administration and IBM Integration Bus message flow development.

Target Audience

Developers and administrators of IBM Integration Bus are the target audience for this course.

Learning Objectives

Following this course, you ought to be able to:

  • Installing and configuring an IBM Integration Bus instance
  • Establishing, maintaining, and managing an integration node
  • Utilizing the IBM Integration online user interface and command interface to manage IBM Integration Bus components and message flow applications
  • Setting up IBM MQ connectivity allows IBM Integration Bus to receive or send messages to queues on a local or distant queue manager.
  • Implementing IBM Integration Bus administration and message flow security
  • Using problem determination aids to diagnose and solve development and runtime errors
  • Using the IBM Integration web user interface to generate and display message flow statistics
  • Using IBM MQ or MQTT to publish and subscribe to IBM Integration Bus topics
  • Implementing an IBM Integration Bus global cache to store, reuse, & share data between integration nodes
  • Using workload management policies to adjust the processing speed of messages & control the actions that are taken on unresponsive flows & threads
  • Using the IBM Integration web user interface & a database to record events & replay messages
  • Enabling an integration node to connect to a database with ODBC and JDBC
  • Configuring a Java Message Services (JMS) provider for use with the JMS nodes
  • Configuring IBM Integration Bus for the secure file transfer protocol (SFTP)
  • Finding and installing IBM Integration Bus SupportPac components

FAQs

Regardless of the message formats or protocols that each application supports, we can still connect them together using IBM® Integration Bus.

Because of this connectivity, your varied applications can communicate and share information with one another in a flexible, dynamic, and extensible infrastructure. From one site to any other, IBM Integration Bus routes, alters, and enriches messages:

WebSphere® MQ, JMS 1.1 and 2.0, HTTP and HTTPS, web services (SOAP and REST), File, Enterprise Information Systems (including SAP and Siebel), and TCP/IP are just a few of the protocols that the product supports.

It supports a wide variety of data formats, including XML, industry standards, and binary formats (C and COBOL) (including SWIFT, EDI, and HIPAA). Additionally, you can create your own data formats.

It supports many operations, including routing, transforming, filtering, enriching, monitoring, distribution, collection, correlation, and detection.
