Course Overview
In this course, one will learn how to implement, troubleshoot, & centrally manage an enterprise security infrastructure composed of multiple FortiGate devices.
Prerequisites
One must have an understanding of the topics covered in the following courses, or have comparable experience:
- NSE 4 FortiGate Infrastructure
- NSE 4 FortiGate Security
It is also suggested that you have an understanding of the sections covered in the following courses, or have equivalent experience:
- NSE 5 FortiManager
- NSE 5 FortiAnalyzer

Networking & security professionals involved in the design, administration, & support of an enterprise security infrastructure utilizing FortiGate devices.
This course assumes advanced understanding of networking, & extensive hands-on experience operating with FortiGate, FortiManager, & FortiAnalyzer.
Learning Objectives
After accomplishment of this course, you should be able to:
- Integrate FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager, and multiple FortiGate devices utilizing the Fortinet Security Fabric
- Centralize the management & monitoring of network security events
- Optimize FortiGate resources
- Diagnose & monitor user traffic utilizing FortiGate debug tools
- Troubleshoot issues with conserve mode, firewall policies, session helpers, high CPU, IPsec, FortiGuard, content inspection, routing, & HA
- Harden the enterprise services
- Simultaneously deploy IPsec tunnels to various sites using the FortiManager VPN console
- Configure ADVPN to allow on-demand VPN tunnels between sites
- Integrate OSPF and BGP to route the enterprise traffic
