DS120: MongoDB Atlas Data Federation

• Learning what Atlas Data Federation is and what problems it addresses
• Deploying Atlas Data Federation and populating it with data
• Querying and manipulating data using the MongoDB Query API, including federated queries across AWS S3 and Atlas databases
• Transferring data between Atlas databases and S3 using Atlas-specific aggregation operators
• Pre-processing data using scheduled triggers
• Using MongoDB Charts to visualize data
• Administering Atlas Data Federation using GUI and command-line interfaces

In this course, developers learn what use cases can be solved with Atlas Data Federation and how to do a first-time setup. They’ll also learn to query and manipulate data, transfer data between Atlas and S3, and use MongoDB Charts to visualize data quickly.

 This course has the following prerequisites:

• DF100: MongoDB Developer Fundamentals
• DF200: Storage and Retrieval

Data Federation combines data from your MongoDB Atlas clusters, Atlas Data Lake, and cloud storage (like AWS S3) into virtual databases and collections. Your data remains in place and its native format. MQL.

 To attend the training session, you should have operational Desktops or Laptops with the required specification and a good internet connection to access the labs. 

Technical issues are unpredictable and might occur with you as well. Participants must ensure that they have the system with the required configuration and good internet speed to access online labs.

If the problem persists or you face any challenge during the class, you can report it to us or your trainer. In that case, Radiant would provide you with the recorded session of that particular day. However, those recorded sessions are not meant only for personal consumption and NOT for distribution or any commercial use.
