Course Description
This training teaches IT Professionals experienced in SAP solutions how to leverage Azure resources, which include deployment & configuration of virtual machines, virtual networks, & storage accounts, and Azure AD that, which provides for implementing & managing hybrid identities. Participants of this course will learn through concepts, scenarios, procedures, & hands-on labs how to best plan & implement migration & operation of an SAP solution on Azure. You will receive guidance on subscriptions, create & scale virtual machines, configure virtual networking, implement storage solutions, back up & share data, connect Azure & on-premises sites, manage network traffic, secure identities & monitor your answer.
Prerequisites
Before attending this course, students should have the following:
- Hands-on experience with Azure IaaS & PaaS solutions, including VM, VNet, Load Balancers, and Storage (Blob, Files, Disks).
- Understanding of on-premises & cloud virtualization technologies, including VMs, virtual networking, & virtual hard disks.
- Knowing how to configure a network, including TCP/IP, Domain Name System, virtual private networks (VPNs), firewalls, & encryption technologies.
- Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
- Understanding of Active Directory concepts
- Having knowledge of SAP Applications, SAP HANA, S/4HANA, SAP NetWeaver, SAP BW, and OS Servers for SAP Applications and Databases.
- Understanding of SAP HANA deployment and configuration.
- Hands-on experience with SAP HANA administration.
Target Audience
This training is for Azure Administrators who migrate & manage SAP solutions on Azure. Azure Administrators also manage the cloud services that span storage, networking & compute cloud capabilities, with an excellent knowledge of each service across the entire IT lifecycle. They also take end-user requests for new cloud applications & make recommendations on services to use for optimal performance & scale, as well as provision, size, monitor & adjust as appropriate. This role requires communicating & coordinating with vendors. Azure Administrators use the Azure Portal, & as they become more proficient, they use PowerShell & the Command Line Interface.
