Course Overview
A container service called Anypoint Runtime Fabric automates & orchestrates Mule runtime deployment across any environment with centralized management via a single MuleSoft-hosted control plane.
This course is designed for Anypoint Platform administrators who want to learn how to install, operate, & maintain Runtime Fabric on (VMs) virtual machines or bare metal. This training uses EC2 instances on Amazon Web Services (AWS) for the hands-on exercises, but the process & steps are similar for other VMs. Most of the course is applicable, except for the installation section for Runtime Fabric installations on bare metal.
There are two choices for Runtime Fabric:
- You manage and operate the Kubernetes environment as a package that can be installed on an existing Kubernetes environment on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), or Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS).
- As an appliance that includes Docker & Kubernetes, you install this version on (VMs)virtual machines or bare metal that you operate & manage.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge & experience with the components of the Anypoint Platform from one of the following:
- Completing the Getting Started with Anypoint Platform course
- Completing the Anypoint Platform Development: Fundamentals course
- Prior system knowledge & experience:
- Knowledge of system administration & server commands
- Basic knowledge of data formats such as XML, CSV, & JSON
- Basic knowledge of working on Linux systems
- an understanding of the fundamentals of remote connection technologies like SSL and SSH
- (Optional, but helpful) A basic understanding of containerization concepts & technologies
