Course Description

The knowledge and abilities required to manage IBM MQ queue managers on distributed operating systems & in the Cloud are taught in this course for technical professionals. You take part in hands-on lab tasks intended to reinforce the material covered in the instructor-led lectures and the lectures themselves. The lab exercises use IBM MQ V9.0, giving you practical experience with functions such as handling queue recovery, implementing security, & problem determination.

Prerequisites

  • Knowing the fundamentals of IBM MQ V9 ideas and functionalities, either via experience or by passing Technical Introduction to IBM MQ (WM103G) or Technical Introduction to IBM MQ with honors (ZM103G)
  • Ability to invoke standard functions within the operating system that is used in the lab exercises some knowledge of TCP/IP configuration
