Course DP-900T00: Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals

Course Description

Students will learn the fundamentals of fundamental data concepts and associated Microsoft Azure data services in this course. Students will gain a solid understanding of Microsoft Azure's cloud data services as well as fundamental concepts in relational, non-relational, big data, and analytics. The fundamentals of relational data and relational database services in Azure will be explored by the students. They will investigate Azure storage for non-relational data as well as Azure Cosmos DB's foundations. Large-scale data warehousing, real-time analytics, & data visualization will all be covered in class.

Prerequisites

Before enrolling in this course, no prerequisite certification is necessary. Students who succeed in Azure Data Fundamentals have a foundational understanding of computing and Internet concepts, as well as an interest in gaining insights from data.

Specifically:  

  • Knowledge of a web browser, preferably Microsoft Edge.
  • Knowledge of fundamental data concepts, including using spreadsheets to work with data tables and charts to visualize data.
  • A willingness to learn through hands-on exploration
